Our biggest struggle here on the forum is how difficult it is to submit our homework assignments. Would you prefer to continue to upload homework here or would you prefer to move to Discord? The school will be here on the forum still - I would upload things both places. I am not trying to drive traffic away from this site. I have just noticed that out of 116 students I have the same core continuing to participate. Would having an easier upload option make a difference? For transparency on Discord I would also be able to host other activities that the forum does not support. Please let me know your thoughts!! 1 1

bigkidagain Posted January 22, 2024 Report Posted January 22, 2024 I'm all in my big little and middle self are jumping for a yes. I like learn and little academy brings back memories of good days. But I would like to participate more if I can submit assignments like my other classes mate. 3

Quirky Posted January 23, 2024 Report Posted January 23, 2024 Took me time to figure out that limitation (have a gallery of pictures vs straight uploading to the stream). I however don't know discord and will be bold and say I feel safe here. I never get bad messages or overwhelmed and um tend to online so..like the only time I have heard discord is like gaming/teenzones...I feel nervous about the safeties there vs. here. Open to trying but felt a voice of safe hereeeeee had share merit. 1

While the forum is open to the public and anyone who finds it from googling, we can keep the discord to invitation only and I'd be able to personally vet anyone else who comes in. The discord server wouldn't be able to be accessed by the wider public if I didn't want it to. Just some thoughts to put you at ease there. Please let me know if you've any questions or other concerns!

I know it can be scary to try a new platform, but right now it seems like Discord would be a LOT easier for what I've got in mind - I know the issue with uploading homework here is holding a lot of folks back. 1

However not for posting pics and also I don’t know that I always like posting my work as some are personal on such an open forum so I would much prefer discord please!! Plus I think it will help us all to better communicate and get to know one another!!! I do think the base and job should stay here so we can keep new members flowing in but discord for posting and socializing for sure!! 4
