It's okay to have feelings.

Including the unpleasant negative ones like sadness. Without negativity in our lives, we'd never know what positivity is. So, it's okay to feel different emotions. It's okay to cry. It's okay to be sad or angry. It's okay to not be okay, I promise.

Feel your feels, but don't let them dictate how you view the world as a whole! Keep finding reasons to smile, even if it's a simple reason~

And I promise that I'm not okay... Oh wait, that's the other guy.

 

My current reason to smile? I remembered to take my meds on time this morning. It's something I've been worried about, as my day/night schedule had been readjusted for earlier mornings last week. And with my goldfish memory, I forget things even with alarms and reminders set on regular days. But today I'm happily medicated and dedicated!

My current reason to be sad? The summer heat is making my house unbearable without a fan going, but I get cold easy in the morning. So if I leave the fan on during the hottest part of the night, I wake up chilly.

I feel like I can't win! 

What's your reason to smile today? Or alternatively, what's your reason to be sad?

And ugh, I completely get the struggle with the heat and the fan situation. Finding that balance between too hot and too cold feels like an impossible science sometimes. I hope you can find a cozy middle ground soon — maybe even a fan timer or a lighter blanket could help a bit?

As for me, my reason to smile today is a kind message from a friend that reminded me I’m not alone. My reason to be a little sad is feeling like I haven’t had enough time to recharge lately. But reading your post helped me feel a bit more seen and reminded me to give myself grace.
