Started a new craft project! I think it's coming along well so far, even if I can't technically paint within the lines. It's forgiving enough you can't even tell!large.20250519_0823302.jpg.85c3e8bd233099bc730c75363e6deeba.jpg

@Flower_Dragon

It's not too bad as long as I complete small sections at a time. Otherwise I get overwhelmed.

@Little Nyx Yea, I could see that.  Kinda reminds me of those massive diamond painting things.

So beautifully done. You are making me want one but I am hesitant because I think you have ALOT more skill than me 🤣

Lol. I have one of those in progress, too. Plus a cross stitch, a ton of coloring books and crocheting. Now, ask me how often I work on any of them. {sheepish smile} Sometimes I think I like collecting crafts more than doing them.

If you saw how much my hand shakes trying to hold the darn paint brush, or how much paint ends up off the canvas because I drop it so much, you wouldn't feel that way! I guess it's a good pt exercise though. And I only spent $8 on this kit on Amazon. I wasn't expecting much at that price, it was more "I'm okay spending that to see if I can do it and if I like it and if I can't/don't its not a huge loss" type of thing. I'm really surprised the quality is as good as it is for that price. I'm sure there is better, but it's not bad. And I think the fact that it's paint covers the multitude of squiggly, not strait lines and painting outside of the designated areas. Once everything is filled in the mishaps dissapear like magic!

I think most crafty types have at least half a dozen projects going on.  There's a stuffie that only needs one more seam to be finished and she has been like that for an embarrassing amount of time.

Making progress! I was able to wiggle new brushes into my budget!! I can't wait until they get here. It will make such a difference on the tiny detail areas. large.20250531_095825_(1).jpg.b4040134e68780338334b75eb8f6ea94.jpg

Seriously, this is amazing.  Thinking about painting tiny areas like that makes me go a bit cross eyed.

I have a secret... I use clip on magnifing lenses over my glasses that are twice as strong as the ones I use for reading and computer work.

My glasses are set so I can see things far away clearly for daily life, driving and such. Bifocals send my vertigo into superdrive (since it's already always in overdrive) so I use the clip on magnifing lenses for close up work instead. They are easy to put on and take off and can flip up out of the way if I need to see further out without removing them. And they are not super heavy or uncomfortable.

It makes it a lot easier to see the tiny detail areas in all my crafts.

I caught more kits on sale yesterday, and ordered 3! Those, along with the new brushes, has surpassed my June crafting budget, but I just couldn't resist. The painting is really meeting my older little/middle's crafting needs right now, and they were on sale, and I've been such a good girl doing all the responsible, big things like chores and phone calls and appointments even when I don't feel well.

I mean, sometimes you just have to.  Last year I think, I got an obnoxious amount of TokiDoki blind boxes cuz they were on sale and I wanted them.  They're so neat.

Ah, magnifying lenses.  That makes sense.

Also, good work doing the unsightly necessary things!

I started choosing comfort over fashion a LONG time ago, and not straining my eyes definitely counts as comfort.
