🌸☀️🍂❄️ Hi hi *waves*

Let's figuratively break some ice and talk about the weather!

Today has been sunny and warm here in the low 70°Fs. Temperatures are supposed to get hotter this week, but stabilize a little as Summer Solstice gets closer. It was nice today, but still sweater weather with some light wind.

Also, what's your favorite type of weather? I love the sound of rain, but can't stand the scary thunderstorms! Wind is also fun ambiance.

hbu ??? 🌤️🪁

I like having the sun, but not when it's super hot. I like spring and summer. Today it was 80 degrees Fahrenheit and sunny, so I took a walk.

B-but how is 80 degrees not super hot ??? Anything hotter than 75 and I'm well done, lol

weather today was pretty alright! it was a solid 73 degrees, comfortably warm without being too hot to do anything productive. the light was kinda weird tho, it was overcast in a way that made the whole sky a really glaring, uncomfortable white. wayyy too bright for me x_x also the wind is starting picking up, so i'm pretty sure it's gonna rain soon.

the older i get, the more partial i am to warm temps tbh. like i really love when it gets really hot in the summer (86-ish) bc everything kinda slows down and i'm forced to take more breaks. truly the perfect temperature for being lazy hehe ૮꒰,,-⩊-,,꒱ა and i actually like thunderstorms a whole lot, i think they're fun! the perfect weather for me is a hot, humid summer day with pouring rain and thunder

Oh gosh! A storm is rolling in for me too. While I like gentle rain, I'm not fond of thunderstorms.

To be fair, I didn't mind them as much back when I wasn't on 24/7 oxygen. And while I definitely have enough tanks in case the lights go out, these kinda storms always worry me.

oof, that is a very good reason not to like storms! I hope the weather at your place wasn't too turbulent in the end o_O the weather in my city is always super mild (like when there is a storm warning, all the surrounding areas get absolutely flooded while we get a slight drizzle at most), so even just a little bit of thunder tends to get me excited :3

Thankfully, I'm far enough east that it's a very rare occurrence for things like tornadoes, but they have happened in my county in recent history. Even more thankfully, my downtown area hasn't been hit, only the more rural areas around town. And I'm practically in town, so there's that. It just sucks constantly having to be prepared beyond the usual food/water storage, lmao, I miss those days.

My surrounding area also gets flooded pretty bad, but for some reason my local area doesn't so much. I think elevation from being closer to the foothills of Appalachia is what protects us so much, but as you get more rural in my area, the flatter it gets or lower if it's near the river.

But what you're describing sounds super pleasant! We do get storms like that, but not as many as I'd prefer!

We're having a heat wave. 90°+ through Monday. 🤮 I hate heat and the sun is evil (chronic migraines + sun = bad). I love Fall and Winter, eapecially fog, rainy days, snow (as long as I don't have to go out) and thunderstorms (as long as lightning isn't starting fires).

90+ already? Gosh! That sounds yucky! We're getting close to that during hottest part of the day and thunderstorms. Fall is nice and winter can be okay too, but only if I'm safe! Last winter was terrible for me. I had to leave home a few times. ugh

We always get a heat wave at the end of May-start of June. Then the temps generally go back to 75°-85° until July when we get back into yucky heat of 90°+ daily with heat waves into triple digits until October. Then, like magic, poof! Cool temps again (mid 60°s)! 🥳

Huh, I bet you live near central east coast. Maybe further north, but not as far as Maine. Definitely close to or in Appalachia.

If you're in the US I mean...

Oh wait, you also mentioned daily triple digits? Gosh, doesn't sound like Appalachia after all. Triple digits makes me think of Texas or other desert/red rock states.

Not that you have to tell me what state/country you're in, of course. I just enjoy guessing locations if I suspect the US. 😅

@beanbean

It's much cleaner and cheaper, lol

U.S., yes, but you are thinking on the wrong side of the country. I'm in the Pacific North West (PNW), Oregon specifically. Luckily, the area I'm in only sees about 4 months of hot, sunny weather, which is good as I have several health conditions that do not do well with heat and sunshine. If the last few days are any indication, this is going to be a really difficult season for me. {sigh} I'm already over this summer nonsense and it's barely begun.

Oh wow, I was way off! lol I've never been that far northwest, so that's why I didn't recognize the weather patterns. It sounded close to CA, but not enough to grab my attention. But yeah, I don't do well in heat too. I have some health issues that don't do well with extremes on either end. I hope you don't get too bothered by the weather this summer and that the current pattern settles down enough for you.
