Little Nyx Posted June 18 Report Posted June 18 My biggest proud moment, recently, happened on Monday. It's mostly a proud of someone else, but that pride reflects in part back on me, too. My Kiddo had their annual dental appointment on Monday. They calmly sat for all 9 xrays (2 retakes), the cleaning and exam! They clearly communicated with staff and there was no hitting, kicking, biting, or throwing of objects. They only cussed the doctor out once when he first attempted to scrape plaque, but then they sat, mostly quiet, and let the doctor finish the exam. There were no meltdowns, either in office or in the car on the way home, and even their stimming throughout the rest of the day never reached frantic levels. This was the first time in 13 years of appointments that a full set of xrays were obtained without incident and the first time Kiddo allowed the doctor to scrape any of their teeth!!! I can not adequately express how much effort on both out parts have gone into reaching this point. I know all too well this doesn't mean future appointments will go as smooth, but that doesn't diminish the pride I feel over this one! 1

The things your child struggles with are getting better and they wouldn't if you wernt being an amazing parent. Makes me so happy to hear. I wish for many more easier appointments 1
Andriel_Isilien Posted June 20 Report Posted June 20 Proud moment for me was when I arrived to check on the fluffle of bunnies. I had done some weeding and brought all of that in a bag for them. They came running to feast! I then carried two jugs of water I refilled, stuffed their hay baskets full, and wheeled over in a wheel barrow frozen water bottles to help them cool off in this heat. Watching them all tuck in, then flop for naps in the shade was so satisfying 🐇💖 I love it when the critters are content like that! 😁 1
