Where is your favourite place in Britain and why?

For me it's the Northumberland coastal area and a place called Seaton Deleval.
When I was growing up, I spent a lot of summers there with my Grandma. It always brings back good memories.

tough one! there really is too much to choose from, if I were to pick just one I would probably say the Lake District was beautiful, I spent a day traveling Windemere and it was glorious, that being said anywhere in Scotland is gorgeous! example below!

I’ve been very lucky to spend time out in nature and seen some wonderful stuff. As the poster above says Lake District and Scotland in and around the highlands is spectacular.

As an addition to those suggestions I lived in North Yorkshire briefly in the late 90’s as walking guide in and around Settle, Malham, and surrounding peak areas. Just stunning.

To much to share, but I go back frequently to find my calm and centre.

The lake district is absolutely beautiful

I love the Lake district and Cornwall also

I'd also say Aysgarth falls!!!!!! - not sure if that's how it's spelt

Fun fact: they were also featured in Robin hood: Prince of Thieves and wuthering heights!

So there are a  few of you who like the Lake District. It's a place I have never been sadly. Seems like I'm missing out!

Also I have never been to Scotland either, but I know about it's stunning scenery.

@-Soul- that lighthouse looks awesome against the night sky with the northern lights in the background. The Aurora is another thing I'd love to witness.

I'm a tad biased for the Lakes too as I grew up there until I went to university

Now I just enjoy exploring the West Pennine Moors near my home, as the  Lakes have got bad for parking in recent years...but still my favourite place when I visit family!

my grandparents live in the lakes and i grew up spending summers there! such a beautiful place and so many fond memories of happy mount park in morcambe with my cousins or the cartmel races! and that’s without taking into account how beautiful it is up there. port isaac in cornwall is also gorgeous but i have a growing fondness for suffolk having spent some time there last summer. if you visit, i recommend a day of feeding ducks and rowing on the meare in thorpeness - a swan even ate right out of my hand!

Might have to be wembley stadium as the memories there are unforgettable. Plus it was the only time I’ve been able to travel and be more of myself and enjoy the things I like!
