Hello there, everyone 👋🏻 Summer is coming to an end now with Fall creeping in. Here is a craft to combine both. A bit of summer memory with fall coziness. Get those crafty supplies ready!

We're using the peels of clementines, oranges can work too, that you cut in half. Scoop out the fruit, eat it for a snack. One craft to make is cut out a jack-o'-lantern face like so 🎃

Funky faces is to be expected, haha 😅 I used a pairing knife but maybe an exacto knife would be better.

Next is let them dry. It's still warm enough that setting them outside should do that naturally. Or you can set them in the oven at 175 F for about 20-30 minutes depending on how thick the peels are.

The other craft route is to turn these into mushrooms. Skip the carving step and go straight to drying.

Paint the caps whatever mushroom color you want and then glue cinnamon sticks for the stem. 🍄  Plain sticks from outside will work as well.

Stick these little jack-o'-lanterns and mushrooms around your room for some woodsy decoration. String them along to make a garland using twine. Make these into ornaments. Whatever ideas you have, do it 😁 and share below!

I love these ideas! Do they smell wonderful? I'm thinking of the smell of oranges and cinnamon! Mmmm! Put the mushrooms in a flower pot with black beans to hold them up! Use different colors and sizes! Add a pretty smell to any room you put them in!
