Our 2nd badge! Yaaay!

For those of you that wish to participate, here are the requirements to earn the  "April Showers Brings May Flowers" : ( Activity suggestions are at the bottom of page.)


BADGE: ~April Showers Brings May Flowers

DATES: 4/1 - 4/30

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Pick a leader and ask them if they are available
 
2. Decide on 3 Activities below. Let your leader know, but you can change your mind if you decide you prefer not to do one you've picked. Just let your leader know which you've switched to. 

3. When you are finished, take photos of everything you did and write a small explanation. If you're a little. Just take the photo.

Activities: ( Choose 3-4)

* Make a sun-catcher, and display it in your windows

* Write a paragraph about the types of clouds there are, and what,  if anything they do. 

* Create a cloud out of materials you have at home, e.g. - cotton balls, beads, yarn,  pipe cleaners, tissue paper, etc.. use your imagination!

* Create a Spring Bird Feeder

* Plant A Container Fairy Garden

* Cardboard cloud

*Paper plate rainbow craft

* Learn about April's Birth Fower- Daisy

* Fly a Kite

* Start to plan a Summer Bucket List

* Make a flower, ladybug or butterfly, out of air dry clay.  (Can purchase at Walmart, Craft stores, Amazon,  etc)

(Pinterest has lots of ideas and I've started a Glow Worm Guide Board, if you have a Pinterest account, you are more then welcome to follow it)

** If you do go to Pinterest or any other site, that's fine, but let me or your leader know what you're doing if it's NOT on the list above.

Not me reading the activity list and going “ohhhh imma do that” for each one” except the bird feeder and fairy garden (even though I really do want to do them but can’t for the same reasons I didn’t last month)..

 

question on the sun catcher for you @Juju… I have one paint your own sun catcher kit… would that count?. 
oh and can I start doing the activities and then pick a leader once I’ve started?

Yes! The kit isn't started yet I assume. And you can use any materials you already have on hand. No need to go purchase something if you don't have to or want to. 

Leaders can be chosen after you start, but they need chosen by at least the 3 day after the badge has been started.

The kit hasn’t been started yet. 

I will hold off picking & starting my activities until the Autumn/Fall challenge ones are posted. See if I can do any of them across both.

Awesome that sounds like a lot of fun. Any chance there will be a reference to Hal 9000?

I plan to do

1. the cloud - I have a surprise planned! 

2. The birdfeeder

3. Learn about the Daisy

I am also working on a Fairy Garden, just looking for more stuff and I want to make a kite, but I don't know if I will be able to fly it, so those things are not on my official list, just the maybe list. 

 

I plan to work on the Easter badge too. I want to do both the religious and the regular badges for that. 

Could you check both badges for me, please?

No it’s totally fine! You do so much!! I wasn’t bothered by it, I knew they would pop up when they popped up. Otherwise I was just going to do as many of the ones in line with your season as o could.

* April Showers Brings May Flowers Badge will be done there will also be day badges:

* Autism Awareness - April 2nd

* Easter April 5th: probably both for my faith and my the Easter Bun buns.

And last but certainly not least,  

* Earth Day- April 22nd.

I basically just "@" you here, and show you the pictures of what I've finished and you can decide if there acceptable. I am a little/ middle, so you'll be seeing different things at different levels. 

I'll also be doing the monthly badge, which the end date isn't until the 30th.

If this is too much, I could see if another leader could take part of it? I don't want to bog you down the first month you're here! 

@Daddy Bear 77, would you consider being my leader for the Four Seasons Badges and the National Princess Week badge? 

* National Princess Week (here in the US, is the 19th - 25th) 

I thought if i divided them up, y'all wouldn't get to much from one person.

I would like that very much. 😊 I'm guessing you know what your doing, but I would still be very happy to help with ideas, inspiration or early positive feedback.

If you get stuck at any point or want to talk over some ideas just let me know.

Same goes for anyone else who is looking for a Leader and isn't sure how to get started or isn't feeling confident. I'm happy to help.
