Hello to my fellow Glowworms,
Firstly, sorry for the spamming of posts in the overview section.. now onto the post…

I don’t know about anyone else in the group, but I’m the type of person who LOVES to keep everything in the one place, so it’s easy to keep track of things & look back at past badges easily.
So I came up with the idea that instead I could do more of a Badge journal where I could post a new “entry” for each badge rather than a new topic per badge, as well as progress reports on slightly longer badges.

I’m also going to break it down into categories, which will be:

Monthly Badges - any progress reports or badge completions for each month will be in this category.
Day/Special Badges - any progress reports and badge completions for day badges or other special badges will be in this category.
Challenge Badges - any progress reports or challenge style badges will be in this category.
You may notice the badge types are links, clicking these will take you to a landing page (aka a reply to this topic) with links to be able to quick find progress & completion reports for each badge I do of that type

Each badge will also include the same template at the top:

Date:
Badge Name:
Leader:
Status:

Anyway, this welcome page is going to go under some changes as time goes on, but for now I’ll leave it here.

happy Glowworming troop.

Spring Into Spring

Date: Tuesday 31st March 2026
Leader: Daddy Bear 77
Status: Completed

this is a retrospective post as I unfortunately can’t move my other post into this one.

For the Spring Into Spring badge I completed the below 3 activities:

Teddy bear Picnic (inside):
I had a picnic with my carebears Frankie & Fran. We had one biscuit each, some Nashi pear slices, popcorn & some apple and black current juice to drink.
Frankie & Fran recently got married so they were telling me all about their wedding (it was a stuffies only wedding) and how they plan to go on their honeymoon to the Hotel Transylvania. Fran told me she borrowed the wedding dress from her friend Emily & how they wrote their own vows.
It was a nice picnic.. even if I’m still not completely over not being invited to my own stuffies wedding!
here’s Frankie and Fran chatting awaylarge.3C9D20D0-E012-490D-A699-CE915D3771

Write about a plant or flower:
I chose the Rose to write about, I won’t spoil anything here as I made a digital poster.large.6DE77A9B-7B5C-434E-A4CC-4820342D31

Birdfeeder…(ish):
Ok sooo the …(ish) is because the bird feeder was technically made towards the end of last year at my dads.. where I live we are not allowed to feed the birds because they become a nuisance… so I didn’t want to make something I couldn’t use… however my dad lives in an area it’s totally fine to feed them & last year we made a bird feeder out of some things we found laying around. Here’s two feathery friends having a feast. Note: I spoke to Juju and she said it was fine to do this. large.402E26F1-5087-4373-9670-8D04C3B365large.13918CBF-035A-4ABA-A386-D210BA5619

Autism Awareness Badge

Date: Saturday 4th April 2026
Leader: @Daddy Bear 77 (would you mind signing off for me, I realised in my race to get it done I forgot to ask)
Status: Completed

I hope I’m not to late to still complete this (@Juju let me know if it is), By the time I saw it and with time differences I couldn’t get it done before now, everything was closed yesterday so I couldn’t get things I needed.

For this badge I completed the 4 below activities:

Wear Blue:
I recently got this white dress with blue flowers, yesterday I had a comedy show to go see which meant for me getting a little dressed up, I knew this dress was perfect for it, but I wasn’t sure if it would be enough so I also paired it with my blue cardigan that was my Nanas, I don’t post photos of myself online so I hope the below is enough photo is enough… (oh and totally off topic but I found a way I can add photos myself with out having to ask someone else to… take that anxiety!!!!)
large.7367883F-2B6F-4B5C-BEC4-0C99D4FEC4

Colour A Puzzle Piece:
For my puzzle piece I chose to design it using something my nephew & I say when he has something his Autism is causing him to struggle with, “together we can”. I also choose to put a hand heart on it because when he was little he used to make and ask people to make them all the time.
large.32ED60A8-B69A-4B64-BED3-6E5B661F72

Wrire a small paragraph about autism:
Whether we know someone with it or have it ourselves 90% of us will be touched by Autism in some way. For me, I know people who have it, 2 of my cousins have it and so does my nephew. I feel that I am lucky to live in a country that even though there’s still a long way to go are slowly working towards making the country a more autism friendly place, some current things at least in my state that are in place are: Quiet carriages in trains, quiet shopping hours at shopping centres and supermarkets and making it mandatory that work places put things into play that will help make an employees experience more comfortable if an individual discloses they have autism and can prove it.
I am hopeful that my country continues on this path and people that have autism can continue to feel valued, seen & accepted.

Make A Sensory Toy:
The moment I read this activity I knew it was one I was going to do. It took me back to my time growing up going throw Scouts, which is where I learnt how to make these… stress ball balloons. Here’s how you can make them yourself:

You will need:
Flour, rice or sand (I use flour)
Balloons
A funnel
Something to help you push the flower through the funnel (I used a marker)

step one: Blow up the balloon a little to activate the stretchiness (don’t be like me and forget this, it can make it harder)

step two: put the funnel into the balloon neck but make sure there is some of the neck without funnel in it.

step three: start to spoon some flour into the funnel. Don’t add in to much, aim for about a 1/4 of the funnel at a time. Carefully press the flour into the balloon.

step four: it will reach the point that the neck of the balloon is full of flour, even if the funnel still has flour in it, stop and massage the flour into the neck into the base of the balloon. Once the balloon neck is clear you can add more flour.

Step five: once you are happy with the size of your stress ball massage the last of the flour from the neck into the balloon remove the funnel and tie it off as you normally would.

tips: Make sure you are holding the funnel where the balloon is on it, pressing the flour into will make the balloon want to slip down the funnel. Have a thin paint brush on hand so if the flour compacts in the funnel you can use it to loosen it by stabbing it with the end of the paint brush and DO NOT BLOW UP THE BALLOON ONCE FLOUR IS IN IT… definitely didn’t learn this one from experience. large.13D4075C-DAD5-42AC-BEE9-86E9C88798

Easter Badge

Date: Monday 6th April 2026
Leader: @Daddy Bear 77
Status: Completed

Below are my completed Easter Badge Activities.

My Easter Traditions:
Easter for my family is not something we celebrate.
I do however personally call it Bunny Day as I’m obsessed with rabbits. I don’t really do anything for it though right now. When I have my own family I plan to make Bunny Day as big as Christmas, with egg hunts, crafts and big lunch.

Decorate An Egg:
I wasn’t able to colour real eggs as I know the yolk and whites would have been wasted. Instead I painted card stock eggs. I started out tracing around a flat foam egg I have, I made 2 this way and then my sister pointed out I could use my cricut to cut out eggs neater and faster so I made 4 more that way. I did 2 using paint makers, 2 using one of my favourite childhood techniques.. rolling paint covered marbles over them, 1 using a new paint type which was acrylic spray, I’m not completely happy with how it turned out, but it was my first time so it was never going to be perfect (and I’m definitely gonna be in trouble when my sister sees her white desk… ooooopsies) the last one I did the old fashion way, paint & paint brush.
And you get a bonus bunny, which I also used the spray acrylic paint to do.

Favourite Things About Autumn:
I don’t really want to write about my day because apart from doing things towards this badge and my sissy’s birthday present, I did not have a good day, so instead I’ll write about my favourite things about Autumn. Autumn brings some of my favourite weather, the sort of weather where I can still wear my dresses pairing them with a cute cardigan if needed & I love that it’s starting to get into boot season!! I love the leaves changing colour and I will without apologies still run through and kick leave piles once they start falling. I also love to visit beaches in autumn because they are less crowded & there’s something about a beach in autumn (and winter) that is like nothing else.

Colour An Easter Picture:
I chose to colour a bunny for this activity coz it’s bunny day. large.1D364924-BBBD-446F-9A42-5F526E1A47

Free Choice:
For my free choice activity I chose to work on my sissy’s birthday present, so @MissAnna if you’re lurking pretty please with an Easter egg on top don’t open the spoiler, it’s the part I’m most proud of so far.

Spoiler

This is my adaption of a craft I found online. Originally it was dond with yarn, but I didn’t have the right glue so used washie tapes and I think I like it better!large.0326D72F-AB97-4D0A-BB29-E11BA207DB

The photo worked for me from the start. My apologies when they came through I was very tired and yesterday the same. I am also just realizing I missed the autism awareness message I'm so sorry. I'll do both right now.

As far as I'm concerned you got it in time and any combination of the colors would be sufficient but those are both very lovely submissions and the cardigan appears incredibly soft.

That's such a good puzzle piece and packed with meaning! What a cool ritual you and your nephew have together, it sounds like you two have an incredible bond.

That's so wonderful that your area does so much to support people with autism. Unfortunately the world has seemed to be moving more more away from being willing to accept any difference let alone accommodate it so I'm incredibly happy to see that some places still have compassionate people in places of power.

That's a very cool and accessible sensor toy. I love the way stress balls feel. I bet they would be immensely helpful to help destress when overwhelmed with inputs.

Bunny Day

I'm so excited to see how your Bunny Day tradition evolves when you have your own family and you seem to already have a good start on building a tradition with your activities for this badge.

What an innovation solution to that problem and some cool artistic techniques to produce the patterns. I'm glad you got to try something new and I'm looking forward to trying it one day as well. They all look beautiful and thank you sister for your sacrifice ( RIP white desk)

I'm so sorry your day wasn't great and I'm glad there was at least a couple bright spots in it. I don't see why autumn can't be an acceptable replacement. Autumn sounds like you have lots of fun during it, I'm glad

Your first Bunny is really cute and colored well. The second is really nifty, it's been a long time since I've seen tape art and that's really cool!

I hereby certify that@SweetLittleDreamer has completed the requirements for the Autism Awareness and Easter Badges. Congratulations on your badges and thank you for helping spread awareness of autism and sharing your Easter holiday activities with us.

I think they work for a few minutes but then the forum stops reading the link to them.
and it’s ok that you didn’t sign off straight away, and that you missed the autism ones!

thank you for signing off on them both!

Here are my activities for Princess Week 2026.

For this badge I tried to do a few different things.

I Watched 5 Princess movies over 5 different nights.
Brave, Tangled, Beauty & The Beast, Snow White and Frozen.
I these are my 5 favourite Disney princess movies.
I love Brave because Merida is one of the only Princesses that rejects the idea of marriage being the only option for a female.
I love tangled because Rapunzel takes a chance to live her dream and gets her happy ending.
Beauty & The Beast and Snow White are just 2 classics I have always loved they are ones my grandma and I would snuggle up watching together.
Frozen I love because its about 2 sisters who love each other so much they would do anything for each other, and it makes me think of my Sissy.
large.IMG_5763.jpeg.ca576fa06aac55778162

I made 3 princess Bracelets over 3 Different nights.
I made the Rapunzel and Belle ones well watching their movies
large.IMG_5735.jpeg.d11303053163d23f2fd4
Sadly the kit they came in were missing a lot of beads and a lot were damaged so I can not wear them but they will fit the Anklebitters in my life so they will get them I think.

I did a princess Puzzle:
This puzzle was surprisingly really good for a $2 puzzle and I honestly think its me new fav go to little item I have... Even beating out my Winnie the Pooh Busy Book!!
large.IMG_5734.jpeg.2791d180ec58139f414c936f75a62e14.jpeg

I did a unicorn 3d puzzle:
Please let this count, unicorns are a princesses best friend I named him Pieces... Coz he kept falling apart well I was making him and even now you touch him wrong and he falls to pieces.
large.IMG_5744.jpeg.3b8ea1305210ba8a624a9cd1871d4ed8.jpeg

I did a Princess Word search
Is it obvious I really like puzzles of all kinds?
large.IMG_5759.jpeg.4e1ede1bba656360f8489752b7bfbbf5.jpeg

And finally
I coloured a princess Picture
I coloured it as me and my Sissy as princesses, coz shes the only one allowed to call me a Princess. large.IMG_5761.jpeg.492929f9c255e7ad2fca560a4a2e6097.jpeg

Make a Cloud out of Materials at home combined with cardboard cloud.
@Juju said that it was ok to combine activities so I combined these 2, I used a cardboard base and cotton wool balls to make this cloud and added the streamers like the pintrest post.
