WINTER SOLSTICE - SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE

Winter Solstice is about the shortest day and the longest night of the year. 

Below you will find activities that you can do to earn your Solstice badge and perhaps learn a little bit also. 

Do 3 -4 activities.  

Make sure to get with your leader this month and let him know which ones you are going to try to do. If you need to change something, that's okay too! Just let them know. 

Since the Solstice falls close to the end of the month.  It is okay to go into July with it.  Maybe no later then the 1st week, since the new patches will be made available for July by then.  Remember, monthly badges are required if at all possible.

WINTER SOLSTICE:

* Watch the sun rise or set

* Go for an evening walk with a flashlight

* Make a lantern out of paper 

* Make paper snowflakes

* Color or draw a picture of winter

* Write a short paragraph telling about what your winters are like in your area where you live. 

* Make a Solstice countdown calendar

* Read one of these books:

~ Make an ice latern

@Jujuwould it be ok if I stole the board game activity form the Summer Solstice badge and did that as one of my activities, I love boardgames so much and I try to make people play them whenever I can
