July virtual meeting

July 25 at 4 pm est  we will have our next virtual meeting. we will be making toilet paper roll Octopuses to finish our Zoo badge. If you would like to make the craft all u will need is a toilet paper roll, paint, scissors,  white or blue paper, googly eyes if you have them if not u can draw them on,  and glue. it says glue sticks but any glue will work I'm sure. the paints they used were blue and white but any color will do. I currently don't have white so I will be substituting it with another color. we will have a fun meeting, we can chat while we craft and discuss how zoos use enrichment to help the animals and why zoo are beneficial. I hope to see everyone there this will be the end of our zoo badge!!! Next month starts a new badge to work on.

@lillizzie24 I don’t know if I can make it (mostly coz I always get confused by the timezone factor)… if I do make the octopus or some other animal craft can I still get the badge coz I was at the first zoo one?

I'll leave that up to @lillizzie24. What she feels should be the full requirements of receiving the badge. I personally feel that you should make the Octopus, if possible.  Even if you couldn't come to the virtual zoo trip, the Octopus making would be something everyone can finish, regardless.  But, that's my 2 cents worth.  lol I still haven't had a chance to go back and see the virtual videos either.  Don't feel like you're the only one.  😊

I joined the meeting in May, but I’ve not manage to get the timings right for any of the others, I am going to try and make this one but because of time zones and the amount they confuse me there is every chance I’ll miss it again.

@MissAnna 15 mins before 4 I will post a link to Google meets I cant open the room til then because there's a time limit since I use it free

today we had an amazing meeting!!! lots of fun and giggles!!! I will post a picture of my octopus after my tablet charges enough to get a picture. Miss Anna, baby poppy and dreamer have all earned their zoo badges!!!! its not too late though all u need to do get your zoo badge is to watch virtual zoo animals or visit a zoo, learn about enrichment in zoos and do a zoo craft then post so a leader can sign off. Thank you to everyone who joined me today. Next meeting will be August 29 at 4pm est. Ill post details mid month for a reminder and to show what fun I have planned!!!

HI everyone, Due to issues with my computer i wasn't able to be at the meting but I did visit a virtual zoo and i have to say it was a great experience. I watched a few live animal videos for a few minutes, than I watched a video on conservation. . Than I made my lil Octopus. I call her lil blu. May I have a leader approve me please. Thanks
