Here are my answers:

Spoiler

1. Nat says she feels like everyone in the town still feels bad for her for what happened with her wedding years prior. Are you suprised she didn't move to get a fresh start? Why do you think she stayed?

✨ I mean, Nat's entire life is in that town. Her best friend, her job, her home. It makes sense to me that she stayed for that alone. But another aspect of her decision to stay might be because her fiance went missing. If she stays in the same place there's a chance he'll come back to her. Staying in the same town also feeds into her living in the past, holding on to the life she thought she was going to have.

2. Ok just for fun after reading that first chapter what are your guess for what happened to Nats fiance 5 years ago. Crazy theories welcome.

✨My guess is that her fiance isn't dead. He got in over his head with some bad people and either went into hiding OR he's in witness protection!

3. So Sloane is very much tugging Nat along with the moving on process, first dragging her put on the anniversary day and then convincing her to put her dress up for sale. Do you think this is a good idea? How would you feel if you were in a similar situation with a friend?

✨I think Sloane is being a really good friend. She seems to know where the line is when it comes to pushing Nat too far. Sloane does acknowledge Nat's traumatic experience, she doesn't minimize what happened to Nat, but she is encouraging her to move on with her life. If I were in a similar situation I'd take the lead from my friend. I'd be there as a shoulder to cry on but I'd also want to encourage them towards happiness for themselves.

4. Sloane keeps running into Kage accidentally a lot. Do you think this is truly an accident or part of whatever plan he came to town for?

✨ HHeck no! That's not accident! Well, maybe their meeting at the casino was an accident but I think he's watching her very carefully.

5. So Kage is giving off some serious questionable vibes that scream red flag. Are you suprised Nat isn't more on edge or suspicious?

✨ Not really. Firstly because if she ran away and that was the end of it then it wouldn't be a great story! xD But also because Nat clearly doesn't do well with taking care of herself. A part of that could be reckless behaviour or not setting boundaries very well. Maybe the temptation of danger is appealing to her.

1. Nat says she feels like everyone in the town still feels bad for her for what happened with her wedding years prior. Are you suprised she didn't move to get a fresh start? Why do you think she stayed?

A: she seem like her mind is hopefully to just show up one day like it never left at all.

2. Ok just for fun after reading that first chapter what are your guess for what happened to Nats fiance 5 years ago. Crazy theories welcome.

A: gotten kidnapped because of something shady business.

3. So Sloane is very much tugging Nat along with the moving on process, first dragging her put on the anniversary day and then convincing her to put her dress up for sale. Do you think this is a good idea? How would you feel if you were in a similar situation with a friend?

A: Sloane trying to help her move out with her life and not just get stuck in the past. Seem like a good friend and be helpful.

4. Sloane keeps running into Kage accidentally a lot. Do you think this is truly an accident or part of whatever plan he came to town for?

A: Kage seem like a person that a little shadey but also it seem like a small town so maybe it not?

5. So Kage is giving off some serious questionable vibes that scream red flag. Are you suprised Nat isn't more on edge or suspicious?

A: Nat really can't seem to see any flags in a person because her mind won't let her fully attached to another person because of her fiancé disastering on her.

1) A little surprised, but I feel like there's a couple of things that go into that. One is probably because her best friend lives there and she doesn't want to leave that support, her job is probably a good constant, but maybe biggest of all is that she may be waiting for him to come home still and if she leaves "their" home he may not know where to find her at. I'm sure alongside the bad, there's probably lot of good memories she wouldn't want to leave as well.

2) I like her idea of him getting into an accident and having lost his memory, but I think he either ran away to escape some kind of debts ( gambling, life etc.) or bad situation, or to protect her from being in the middle of that bad situation.

3) I think she may be coming at it with the best of intentions, of wanting to help her friend move on and not stay stuck in her past and her grief. I think being there for a friend comes in different forms and it's hard to watch someone you love have that kind of grief and not know how to really help them. I think supporting them through it, whether being that shoulder to cry on ,getting them a therapist, letting them rage etc is a good way to be supportive.

4) I doubt it's an accident, maybe trying to stay in her circle or keep an eye on her.

5) I think she should be more suspicious but shes so stuck in her own head that she's not really thinking about it, or maybe it is in line with her lack of wanting to really be there, as she talks about with her wanting to drive off the highway etc.

1. I'm from a small town. Of course I moved away, but you can't always do that. Her house is there, her friends, her job. You can't always just up and move your life. No matter how much you might want too. Also, thus far on the story David is only missing. She has to still be there when he comes back to her, right?🤔

2. Obviously, David was in witness protection having knowledge from a super shady past and his whole relationship with Nat was a sham, a cover.😂

3. I'm torn on this one. Obviously, she's a friend that's been there for Nat through the years. Nat needs someone to make her go out and do things to still live her life. Sloane is good for that. Consigning the dress is where I get messed up. It's a practical thing that needs to happen, but it does seem a little forced to me, no matter how practical. A wedding dress is so symbolic and special. I don't know it just read a bit out of place to me.🤷🏻

4.Its not an accident at all. It never is. Not in books like this, but we're not there yet...

5. Some women really do love red flags ( not just the book boyfriend version). In Nat's cause, I feel like she just wants to feel again. Feel something, anything, that reminds her she's still alive, still has a good future ahead of her. Large definitely does that!

1- From what I understood from these first chapters, Nat is still clinging to the past, and is probably still hoping in the back of her mind that her fiance could come back. What if he does come back and finds that she moved on and had a new start somewhere else? Maybe that's her line of thinking.

2- Since Kage is all about collecting "dept" I think the fiance was involved in the death of some mafia princess or someone important for them, and he was on the run out when he met Nat. On their wedding day, the Mafia finally found caught up with him, but he managed to get away again leaving poor Nat behind. I don't know why they didn't go after her then, but something must have happened and now they sent Kage to collect the dept. A soul for a soul kinda thing?

3- If I had a friend in such a situation I would definitely be Sloane. It would hurt to witness my friend's life getting wasted for years and years without doing anything.

4- Naah, too many to be a mer coincidence. I think Kage was intending to delete Nat from Earth when she stumbled into him at the restroom door but was to stunted to do it 😂. So he just started following her around to figure out the reason why he wasn't already unaliving her 🤷🏻‍♀️.

5-hmm I think Nat has been numb towards the other sex for a long time, and was surprised by how many emotions and feelings Kage stirred in her. So I think her curiosity about that is blinding her to the questionable vibes and red flags. Or she is just ignoring them because she likes the way he makes her react too much no to hehehe.
