Cleaning my room... it's bad, really bad. When the girls and I left my ex 10 yrs ago, we went to a shelter with what was in the car. Later that month, the landlord kicked my ex out of thr house and I had to clean out the house in 12 hours. My church helped and someone paid for a storage unit until we got a new place to live a few months later. A lot of our stuff was packed by others and some was stolen from the storage unit. We moved again a couple of years later to our current house right after the school year started and had about a week to move, so stuff was again packed by others and stored in random places, like my room.

Over the past 8 years I've had to buy stuff I know I have coz I can't find it, then find it and don't know what to do... 

I also find stuff from before my ex (we were only together a few years) and remember who I was and get overwhelmed. 

Plus, as a teacher, I have tons of supplies I store in my house....

So cleaning my room is overwhelming. 

I have already taken 12 bags of trash out in the past 24 hrs. Half the dumpster is full! I've also donated 2 carloads of stuff, too!

My goal is to finish the room by tomorrow noon. I have a guy from church coming over tomorrow late afternoon to help build my new bedframe and take my new mattress out of the box. I bought it in June, but wasn't able to get my room clean to build it. This is for me. 

I'll add pictures when I'm finished, but please keep comments positive and encouraging. This is something I am extremely sensitive about as it brings back childhood trauma as well.

Ok... sooo.. I ummmm really worked hard on cleaning here's some before pictures..... maybe Daddys should avoid this post and anyone who has OCD, or is a switch, or any dominant traits... 

Please remember before you judge me, that I am under the care of Mayo Clinic and will be entering a program that specifically targets this problem in June.... I did my best. 

 

Now, here's my new bed... all made, but i had to take the comforter off coz the mattress needs to rise for 3 days before I can sleep on it... 

 

My old bed got moved to another bedroom and those mattresses are on the curb for spring clean up day. 

I have a lot of stuff to keep going through, but the dumpster is full. In 3 days, I filled it. Plus I need to pack for my next appointment.  I leave tomorrow after lunch for Mayo. Only one overnight,  hopefully. Sooo time for supper, meds, TV,  shower, then sleeping on the couch.
