Juju Posted April 18 Report Posted April 18 (edited) Earth Day is almost here and it's our chance to do some activities to show our support in keeping our planet clean. Plus, have fun too! GUIDELINES: * Let your leader know that you are participating and which activities you will be doing. * Badge activities start on the 19th of April and due on the 22nd. * Choose 3-4 activities from the list below. You may also find your own ideas to do. Lots of them on Pinterest. I'll also put a link below to the list I've started. * If you have any questions please ask. ACTIVITIES: ~ Make Bird feeders from toilet paper rolls ~ Plant a tree ~ write a short essay on how trees help us and our planet ~ recycle and make a craft from the materials you are recycling ♻️ ~ Color or draw a picture of planet Earth 🌏 ~ Paint rocks and leave for others to find ~ Make clay necklaces of the earth 🌎 (recipe below or you could use air dry clay) ~ Make seed bombs ~ Choose your own idea of a craft or activity pertaining to earth day, that you would like to do. BabyPoppy Posted April 18 Report Posted April 18 Otay @Juju I gotta question... instead of an essay, may I create a pretty slide show? I'll use all the same info, but put it in slides and add pictures! I like pictures! And slide shows! And research projects! Also, I'm not sure how much time I'll have, but I kinda wanna try creating an Earth Day Game... using recycled materials... though I have been tossing most of my recycling...😆... I have some simple game ideas... Another idea I had was watching a video on recycling and then writing a bit about what I learned and local options? Like how to recycle glass, recycling days, what to do if you have extra recycling... (I used to teach a 6 - 8 week study on Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and I kinda miss it...)🙁 I could share some story and video links from YouTube, if anyone wants.

I'm gonna have to take to the weekend also, and I'm the one who put it up! lol I lost track of time and it was late today when I realized it was the 22nd. But like you, I've been trying to space things a bit before I get overwhelmed. So no worries! Take care of yourself! 1
