This month we are heading Back to School!!!

Once again, here are the rules for this badge.

*Pick a leader before starting 

*Let them know which activities you want to do

* Due date by end of month

* Remember to take photos

 BACK TO SCHOOL Celebration!!!

In the US we start getting ready for a new school year to start in August, so I invite you to remember the joy of starting a new school year! Please try to do 3 – 5 activities from the list below! Feel free to do more if you would like!!! If you have other ideas, please reach out! This is to be a fun activity!

-          Make a mood board

-          Post a picture of what you would wear to the first day of school, as a little or middle

-          All About Me Picture you can fill out and post!

o   Black and White 

o   Colorful

 

 

Literacy – In school, this can be a lot of different parts coming together.  In the lower grades it is learning to letter names and sounds, listening to stories, learning to write your name, learning to read and write words, and

-          Practice learning your letters - Untitled design

-          Create a fun name tag for your little/middles self

-          Listen to a story and write a short report on the story and why you like it

-          Write a story about an outing you enjoyed recently

-          Number Writing - Colorful Number Tracing Flashcards

 

Math – In school, many of us had strong feelings about mathematics, but really, math is fun! It the early years it is shapes, counting, addition and subtraction, learning money, and how to read a charts and graphs. Here’s some fun activities for math.

-          Shapes

 

-          2D Shape Sorting

--          3D Shape Sorting

-          Counting worksheets

-          Dino Counting

-          Addition

 

-          Addition 2

 

-           Counting money at your house – maybe set up a little store with your stuffie and “buy” toys for your stuffie.

 

Specials - In schools today, there are classes called specials. These are classes that are in addition to the core course work.  Think physical education (PE), art, music education (choir, band, orchestra), library (story time), computers, guidance (social and emotional skills development).

-          Create an art or craft project and share with us

-          Sing a song, play an instrument, learn about rhythm and keeping a beat. 3 Bears Chant 

-          Share a fun workout or active leisure activity. 

-          Yoga - Yellow Creative Yoga For Kids Presentation

-          Easy Yoga 1

-          Easy Yoga 2

 

 

Science – Science is fun! Think messy, real life experiments! Here’s some ideas:

-          Cleaning pennies Experiment - Science Experiment: How to Clean Pennies - Teach Beside Me 

-          Making Homemade Play-doh -

-          Oobleck - How to Make Oobleck - The Best Ideas for Kids

 

Social Studies – learning about the world around you. Maps, people, cultures, languages.

-          Draw a map of your home, or a favorite place you like to go.

-          Go on a walk around your neighborhood and find 5 things you really enjoy about living in your neighborhood.

-          Look up 5 fun facts about your part of the world

-          Practice your letters in American Standard Sign Language - Untitled design

Okay! I have NOT been as active as I want to be in this club! I have been slacking, but I so definitely want to do something for this month! @beanbean will you be my leader again? I know it's been forever! 

I would like to: 

• Make a mood board
• Design an outfit
• Do an "All About Me" Page
• Share some Yoga/Movement
• Pick a County/culture to Draw

This is such a fun club and I love being a part of it! I really want to get back to doing more. 🏖️❤️🛥️

Design an outfit - is it ok if we just piece together using images from Google Poppy?. 
Read a story and write a report
 

And even though it probably won’t count I enjoy them so I’m gonna do a school related word search… you could call it extra credit

I meant to work on August badges and finish my seasonal badges this month. I have just not been able to with all the things in my personal life and preparing for my husband celebration of life memorial.  I am hoping to be back to my normal self in September. I am enjoying looking at all of the things yall are doing.

take your time the monthly badges can be made up whenever u have a chance. the daily badges are being pushed into next month too. the seasonal badge only needs 5 done now. Focus on you and your family. Im sorry for your loss
