Lighthouse Badge

August 7 is National Lighthouse Day, so it's the perfect time to learn about Lighthouses!

Please choose 3 - 4 activities on this list and post them for your leader to sign off! This Badge is due the end of August.

 

-          Learn what lighthouses do and why they’re important – write a paragraph on what you learn

-          Color or paint a lighthouse

-          Build a lighthouse with Legos, blocks, cardboard, or recycled materials

-          Learn about the lighthouse keeper’s job – write a paragraph

-          Find a picture online or take a picture of your favorite lighthouse

-          Make a lighthouse out of a paper towel tube

-          Read a story featuring a lighthouse

I love this! I live on the coast and we have seven lighthouses!

Not for a badge, but thought this was in keeping with the subject. Made from a felt kit that I picked up in a charity shop last month...
