🌧| Tips for coping with severe depression and isolation?

Is it possible to cope when stuck in a daily, toxic environment, without transportation? It makes me feel like I don't deserve to be happy or make friends. Even finding comfort is a struggle, so I would especially like to hear from Caregivers. 😞 I have absolutely no emotional support.

Don't give up hope, don't learn to be comfortable somewhere that is bad for you. You feeling bad is your body telling you something is wrong and trying to motivate you to change it.

I really don't know anything about you or your circumstances,  but I do know trauma, sadness, loneliness very well.

Just a suggestion,  but try to find one thing you are grateful for... like the forum, being able to go for a walk,  sitting outside for a few minutes or even for learning a new coping skill.

When I am hurting the most, I shut out the world,  even though I need people the most.  Even asking one person for support, like maybe a friend to send you a silly joke everyday, could really change that stuck feeling of "I can't " to a feeling of "I can because I did"

Hoping you are having a better day!

First, I want you to know that you are not alone. I know that right now, in the middle of everything you're going through, you may feel like you're not worthy of anyone's support, love, or attention. But please believe me when I say that simply isn't true.

I know we don't know each other personally. We've never spoken before, and I don't know everything you've been through. But I want you to know that my door is always open. If you need a friend, if you need someone to listen, or if you simply need somewhere to put the words you can't say out loud, I'm here.

Toxic situations can be incredibly difficult to escape from. They can slowly convince you that you're never good enough, that you're somehow the problem, and that you're not worthy of anyone's time or care. Please don't let those thoughts become your truth. You have value. You matter. And you have so much more to offer than you may realize right now.

When it comes to coping, one of the hardest but most important things you can do is reach out to the people around you, even when you feel like you have nothing to say. You don't have to have the right words. You don't have to explain everything. Sometimes simply saying, "I'm not okay, and I need someone" is enough.

And if you are in a situation where you are being harmed, threatened, or you believe you may be in danger, please reach out for help. Talk to someone you trust, contact a local support organization, or seek professional assistance. You don't have to face it alone.

I work in an urgent care and I see firsthand what abuse can do to  someone. And as a survivor of abuse and of SA I can understand the effects it has on the mind and the body.. That's why I'm asking you, from the bottom of my heart, please don't suffer in silence. Reach out, let someone stand beside you. You deserve safety, support, and a chance to breathe again.

And if you don't know where to start, you can start here. Everyone on here will listen and will help you anyway they can.

Please, never think that you don't deserve to find happiness or friends. Of course you do, but I know that it can feel that way when you're stuck in a toxic relationship, or a difficult situation with no easy anwers.

Whatever you're going through, however bad it must feel right now, there's always hope, and a chance to find a better way. As others have said, don't be afraid to reach out. You've already made a start with this post, and you can see that people care about you and want to help you if possible.

You're not alone, there is emotional support here for you, and people you can trust to talk to. Please don't let this current situation make you feel unworthy or unlovable, just because someone may be telling you that.

You don't have to suffer in silence, even if it's just talking to somebody on here to begin with, just to know they are there to hear you and listen to what you need to say.

Please stay safe and don't lose hope.
